What skills and experience we're looking for
Wansbeck Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional and highly skilled Assistant Headteacher to further strengthen our leadership team. This is a key position within our school, and we would welcome candidates who have exceptional leadership skills along with being highly motivated caring and compassionate to the individual needs of children.
About our Academy: Wansbeck Primary School is a safe and nurturing community that aims to develop each childs’ emotional, social and academic skills to ensure they succeed in life beyond primary school. We aim to meet every childs’ individual needs through both building secure relationships with each other and providing a highly engaging curriculum. Our curriculum instils high expectations in all children along with providing inspirational and real-life learning experiences both within and beyond the classroom.
Wansbeck Primary School has around 250 children on roll and is situated to the east of the city of Kingston Upon Hull. The school has high expectations and children perform well compared to national by the end of Key Stage 2. The school has a high proportion of children with a special educational need and encompasses two local authority resource bases – The Arc and The Burrow and a HCAT SEMH provision - The Wizards.
