Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen Wellington Lions Primary Academy for a highly skilled and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to play a critical part in supporting young people to achieve their very best. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving forward our established and ambitious curriculum, so this can be achieved.
The successful candidate will demonstrate clear leadership and vision and the ability to develop strong and positive relationships with all colleagues across the school. They will possess excellent Early Years and KS1 or KS2 knowledge and will have a proven track record of making improvements. They will work alongside the Headteacher to drive the school forward and ensure the best possible outcomes for our children.
This position will be perfect for a leader who has experience in curriculum design and a proven track record of supporting quality teaching and learning. They will have a solid understanding of current pedagogical approaches that draws on current research, in order to support our enthusiastic and dedicated team.

Wellington Lions Primary Academy, part of the Ascend Learning Trust, is a purpose-built school based within the new housing development in NEQ (Northeast Quadrant) of Tidworth and caters for pupils from Reception through to Year 6.
Our recent Ofsted Inspection (July 2023) graded the school Good in all categories, with strengths highlighted in its curriculum and inclusive ethos.
