What skills and experience we're looking for

Westhaven School is recruiting for an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for KS4 and KS5. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner with a passion for providing young people with complex barriers to learning with the best possible education. You will have an understanding of the difficulties faced by learners with additional needs, of the qualification framework for 14 - 18 year olds and of the skills and knowledge needed to lead, manage and inspire a group of passionate practitioners. The successful candidate will need to be energetic, compassionate and have a strong sense of moral purpose, as well as excellent communication skills.
