Assistant Headteacher with EYFS job summary

Our vision is for every child to succeed and have a passion for learning. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled teacher to play a significant role in shaping our growing team. As a school, we have high expectations of students both in terms of academic achievement and conduct, and we have developed rigorous systems to ensure that students meet these expectations.

We place great emphasis on supporting teachers in developing their practice through mentoring, shared planning and developing awareness of research and best practice. This has supported us in developing a mastery-based curriculum which also draws on research on memory and retention from cognitive science.

We have a fully-staffed and highly qualified team, with great subject expertise. We are committed to staff development, and as the team and the school grows, there will be plentiful opportunities for additional responsibility as well to develop your own practice.

We place a high value on teacher development and well-being. In addition to making staff development a cornerstone of our practice, we have a sensible and realistic approach to workload, particularly written feedback and data collection.
