What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspirational professional with the vision, skills and ability to take a strategic role in the leadership and management of the school in partnership with the Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher.
Applications are invited from experienced Early Years teachers with proven curriculum leadership, management skills and experience of children with special educational needs, through teaching and/or leadership.
You must also be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent classroom practice across the Early Years and Key Stage 1
- Ability to lead, manage, motivate and inspire staff
- Able to develop outstanding practice in all colleagues
- High expectations of pupil attainment, behaviour and respect for others
- A commitment to develop the potential of children of all abilities
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm to develop own professional development
- Share our commitment and ambition for sustained school improvement
- Commitment to excellence
- Inspirational thinker for a creative and exciting curriculum that inspires and motivates children
- Able to instigate change which has impacted on raising standards and school improvement
- Knowledgeable and up to date with current educational practice.

Sellincourt Primary is a large multi-cultural primary school in Tooting Broadway, Wandsworth, London. We have a thriving Early Years department with a Nursery and two Reception Classes. We are a welcoming and inclusive school and also have a Hearing Impaired Unit, the Willow Centre, on site. The school is innovative and forward thinking in its approach to the curriculum with an ethos for encouraging and nurturing children’s curiosity, enthusiasm and independence for learning, whilst supporting children to achieve their best.
