Assistant Headtecher (SEND) job summary
The Directors are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to lead on the development of SEND provision across the Academy. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest standards of Teaching and Learning, and passionate about ensuring pupils with SEND achieve their full potential.

The Directors are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to lead on the development of SEND provision across the Academy. The successful candidate must be committed to the highest standards of Teaching and Learning, and passionate about ensuring pupils with SEND achieve their full potential. You should have experience of working with SEND pupils and have a clear understanding of what constitutes excellent SEND provision, combined with a knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and the implications for schools/academies. You should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to motivate, lead and support staff, students and parents.
The successful candidate will be leading a Head of Resource Base and a large team of Teaching Assistants.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop learning support and to contribute to the academy’s inclusion agenda.
The successful candidate should have or be committed to gaining accreditation as a SENCO.
