Assistant Principal - Behaviour and Attitude job summary

About the opportunity:

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal with responsibility for behaviour and attitudes to start in September 2020. We are seeking a committed, passionate and inspiring leader to become the Behaviour and Attitudes Assistant Principal of The Ridgeway School & Sixth Form College. The Ridgeway School is committed to inspiring learners for their future, as such, we are looking for someone to further develop a positive culture of pastoral support that allows students to make informed decisions about their behaviour, attitude and attendance in order to maximise their progress.

The Ridgeway School has 1600 students on roll (including a sixth form of 200). This is an opportunity for an aspiring leader who can take on this new role and add capacity to a strong leadership team. This role provides the chance to support and lead colleagues who are committed and strive daily to improve student outcomes working in partnership with the school, community and The White Horse Federation.

We are looking for someone who will:

Provide leadership, support and management that reflects the vision and values of the school
Have the skills to lead, inspire and promote the highest qualities in our students and staff
Model best practice, with the knowledge, skills and expertise to develop and build on effective systems
To have a passion to support all students to make informed decisions that allow them to maximise their potential and inspire them for their future.
Be a passionate and supportive leader with a proven track record, who will lead the school in partnership with the community and the Trust
Have highly effective communication skills and will be a presence around the school
The ability to lead the student support teams to enable effective student and parent relationships
