Job summary

Support the young people of Harris Girls' Academy Bromley. We are currently looking to appoint an Assistant Principal to join our thriving team, taking on the responsibility of Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Your opportunity

As DSL, you will take responsibility for whole academy safeguarding procedures and child protection systems, and overseeing the safeguarding team. You will lead on safeguarding training for teachers and students to ensure that safeguarding is high on the agenda of all members of staff, and that students understand and feel safe around the academy and know who to talk to if they have concerns. Working with the PSHE Coordinator, you will also ensure that an appropriate programme of PSHE is in place for all students.

You will have a wealth of opportunities to develop as a leader with the Harris Federation. We can offer you a range of bespoke courses and qualifications through our Teaching School, including our Aspiring Leaders NPQH for aspiring principals.

We can help prepare you for your next Senior Leadership challenge, investing in your knowledge and expertise through regular support, coaching and a wide range of professional development and training.

What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. You should be an outstanding, experienced teacher, holding QTS and an undergraduate degree relevant to your subject area and with proven success in raising achievement as a subject leader across at least two key stages.

Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley is a thriving, diverse and academically successful school for girls in New Beckenham.
