Assistant Principal :Director of Science job summary
You will be joining St Edmund’s Catholic Academy at an exciting time as we are part of the St Francis and St Clare’s Catholic Multi-Academy Company launched in September 2019. In November 2019 OFSTED rated our academy as a Good school with an excellent sixth form. The report describes the behaviour of pupils as 'exemplary', while 'teachers love working at the school'.

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Principal:Director of Science to drive forward standards and achievement in Science. This is a dynamic and thriving Faculty within the Academy. Lessons are taught within an excellent suite of purpose built teaching spaces and laboratories.
This post is suitable for more exceptional applicants seeking an opportunity to develop their career and raise the profile of Science at St Edmund’s, driving forward achievement for 21st century learners. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach Science from KS3 to KS5.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership across Science with strong interpersonal skills. Accreditation of AST/NPQML status or similar would be an advantage. You will receive a comprehensive induction and professional development package.
