This is an exciting role within the leadership team that is currently vacant due to relocation of the previous post holder; and therefore any start leading up to and including January 2022 would be welcomed.

We are seeking an innovative, dynamic and committed individual with the skills to lead the next strategic phase of direction for Post 16 at the Academy as Assistant Principal. Through inspirational leadership you will be tasked with monitoring the quality of the learning experience for pupils at Post 16 and lead appropriate mentoring and intervention programmes to ensure that every student leaves the Academy with qualifications appropriate for their ability.

You must be able to show a good track record of success at middle or senor leadership in a similar context and hold demonstrable experience of building, inspiring and developing teams whilst holding staff to account in a clear, open and fair way. It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of the Post 16 curriculum including experience of teaching A Level or vocational qualifications at KS5; and a working knowledge of the assessment procedures used at Post 16 and how attainment targets can be set and monitored. The appetite to achieve challenging targets for high standards of Post 16 progress and attainment is essential.
