What skills and experience we're looking for

You are considering joining us at an exciting time of change and improvement, as we join the Cabot Learning Federation family of schools and re-open as Monkton Wood Academy later this year.

This appointment will be central to building upon the rapid improvements that have been made in the school in recent months, embedding these into our school culture, and ensuring that our school moves onward to provide an ever-better quality of education for all our young people. It will offer an excellent opportunity to work among a new and energetic leadership team within the Academy, as well as with leaders across our Trust.

You will be an inspiring leader who, through leading by example, will promote high expectations and support the delivery of high attainment for all students. You will be an effective team player who is dynamic, creative and able to play a significant role in the strategic direction and development of the academy.

What the school offers its staff

Heathfield Community School is an 11-18 school in Somerset, on the north-east edge of Taunton. Alongside our KS3-4 academy is our post-16 centre, The SPACE (Somerset Performing Arts Centre of Education) and The Cedar Centre, our autism resource base. We share our site with the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre, which we manage alongside the Trustees and the local authority.
