Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching job summary
This role, alongside the Vice Principal’s Learning and Teaching remit, will be central in the innovation, development and improvement of Learning and Teaching across the school. The role will touch on all areas of school life and will focus on improving our ‘Great Teaching Framework’ and our practice to ensure better than expected progress for all pupils at the school. The role will also involve the development and maintenance of robust assessment procedures, including cross-Trust common assessments, the development of the three strands of our excellent CPD model and helping to deliver outstanding post 16 outcomes. The successful candidate will need to be agile in their approach, both willing and able to adapt to roles that play to the strengths of the Senior Leadership Team and the needs of our pupils. The successful candidate will be well versed in the latest reading and research around learning and teaching and will be crucial in helping to create the strategic vision to move Nishkam High School forward in the next phase of its exciting development.
