Linton Village College is seeking to appoint an exceptionally talented and capable leader to join the senior leadership team. The successful applicant will play an integral role in maximising the educational experiences and outcomes at Linton Village College, enabling all learners to reach their full potential. They will need to be an excellent teacher with a passion for teaching and learning. Strong leadership skills are essential to implement improvements and measure impact across the whole school. With a rigorous and creative approach to problem-solving, they will have exacting standards of themselves, staff and students.
A proven track record of leading school improvement and having positive impact is essential. As is the ability to think strategically, communicate effectively and lead others through change successfully. Demonstrating drive, resilience and optimism, the appointed candidate will manage whole school responsibilities as well as a range of operational duties. We are seeking an Assistant Principal that can demand high expectations within a nurturing and supportive environment that enables all students and staff to thrive and achieve.
The job description for the position will be determined by the skills, knowledge and experience of the successful candidate. Expertise in inclusion, SEND, assessment and/or experience of raising standards of behaviour and teaching and learning would be welcomed. As would success in working within challenging contexts.

We are a relatively small 11-16 comprehensive secondary academy with around 835 students on roll. Our culture is characterised by an inclusive and caring ethos. At Linton Village College everyone is a learner and every learner matters. Opened in 1937 as the third of Cambridgeshire’s Village Colleges, the school is still true to Henry Morris’ founding vision for cradle to grave learning. We operate a community sports centre and adult education provision in addition to community users.
