Are you an outstanding, inspirational leader and manager? A team player with passion, energy, experience and extensive knowledge of SEN pupils, safeguarding and curriculum development?
Meadowfield School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Assistant Principal to join our Leadership Team.
Our departments consist of Early Years, Extended IMPACTS (for pupils with complex autism) IMPACTS (for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties) Subject led (for our pupils who can access more formal learning opportunities) and 6th Form. Our Assistant Principals work in collaborative pairs to lead our departments. The successful candidate will join an existing Assistant Principal and take a strategic role in leading and managing a phase of Meadowfield school, whilst exemplifying our school values. The specific department the successful candidate will lead will depend on their skills and experience and the collective responsibilities of the whole Assistant Principal team will be reviewed to accommodate the right candidate.
The successful candidate will join our highly skilled Leadership Team, working alongside our Governors to make a difference to our pupils with profound, severe and complex needs. Experience of working in a special needs setting and teaching pupils with ASD as well as learning difficulties is essential.
Now is an exciting time to join our Outstanding school as we expand in order to better meet the demand for special school places in Swale. We are incredibly proud of our recent Ofsted inspection (see the report on our profile page). Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons.
We encourage all of our employees to further their career development and we respect initiative and ambition. We are committed to performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring and peer support.
At Meadowfield we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff.
If you are appointed to an Assistant Principal role, we guarantee that you will be well supported. You will also benefit from the collective support of a highly experienced network of colleagues across the Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KSENT).
Further information about the responsibilities of the role can be found in the attached job description.
