Assistant Principal job summary
Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC are looking to recruit an Assistant Principal. This role will be based at Our Lady & St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School in Cubbington. This is a permanent, full time position, starting in September 2026.
To be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting the Catholic ethos, mission, aims and objectives of the school
- Taking a leadership role in the formulation of the school’s aims and objectives
- Establishing the policies through which those aims and objectives might be realised
- Managing staff resources to this end
- Monitoring and evaluating progress towards the achievement of the school’s priorities
- Participating in all aspects of school improvement planning
- Raising student and staff levels of attainment and achievement
- Undertaking daily duties before, during, and after school
- Attending and contributing to the weekly SLT meeting
The specific responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate based on their skills and experience.
