Required for September 2022, an enthusiastic and highly effective leader to support the further development of Personal Development and Student leadership within the school, both as a specific programme within school as well as being developed through each subject area. This is a crucial area in terms of supporting the school to ensure that students benefit from a comprehensive, well planned and impactful learning experience, which not only benefits them academically but also develops their character, their aspirations and their ability to lead healthy lives, as active contributors within society.
The post is suitable for middle leaders, who are committed to developing young people and have a record of demonstrable impact in previous leadership roles.
We are looking for someone who has:
• excellent knowledge of all areas of Personal development, including RSE, PSHCE, SMSC, physical and mental health, careers and Character development.
• a passion for the personal development of students in terms of developing their character, aspirations, values and outlook so that they can be active citizens in 21st century Britain.
• a resolve to make a real difference to our students’ lives as respectful, tolerant citizens that demonstrate fundamental British values.
• a creative approach to how Personal development is supported and scaffolded across the curriculum, and a commitment to professional development and high expectations.
• a clear commitment to raising standards for all students.
