Nuneaton Academy is seeking a dedicated and visionary Assistant Principal - SEND to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role provides the opportunity to shape the future for students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the support, access, and engagement needed to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and shape SEND provision across the academy, working closely with our two SENDCOs to improve attendance, engagement, access, and achievement for SEND learners.
- Inclusive Learning: Promote an inclusive culture, ensuring all SEND students have an opportunity to excel through personalised support, innovative teaching strategies and high-quality interventions.
- Raising Outcomes: Drive improvement in attendance, engagement, and achievement for SEND learners by embedding a whole-school approach to inclusivity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with staff, students, parents, and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for SEND students, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
What We’re Looking For:
- A dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes for SEND students.
- A strategic thinker who can lead the development of high-quality SEND provision while embedding a culture of inclusivity and belonging across the academy.
- Someone with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A leader who is passionate about making a difference, relentless in their pursuit of excellence for SEND learners, and committed to working in partnership with families and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience in leading SEND provision and supporting students with special educational needs.
- NASENCO qualification or equivalent (desirable).
- A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
