Shooters Hill Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal to join our supportive, friendly and highly experienced Senior Leadership Team for the start of the academic year 2020/2021. This is an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Principal, or a talented Head of Department or Faculty looking for promotion, to join our thriving college.

We are seeking to recruit an inspiring leader to drive the college’s teams of Building Services, Engineering, English, Maths & Science and to maximise student achievement and progression in these vital subjects. The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of high-quality leadership and the ability to secure excellent outcomes. They will be able to make a distinctive contribution to the leadership of the college, who is aligned with our mission to improve the life chances of our students in the local community to which we serve.

The post holder will have cross-college responsibility for English and maths delivery; from functional skills, through to GCSE and A-Levels. With the Curriculum Leaders for English and maths, you will be managing and monitoring all aspects of teaching and assessment delivery and study support in these areas along with Building Services and Science. The successful candidate will develop and maintain key relationships with internal & external stakeholders, maximising opportunities for creative collaboration across local networks including our Centre for Excellence in Maths.
