Leadership Responsibilities

  • Leadership and development of CPD.
  • Oversight of Teaching and Learning across the school.
  • Recognise and celebrate success and achievements of students and staff.
  • Actively contribute to the day-to-day management of the school.
  • Support a culture of continual improvement.
  • Effectively communicate the schools core values and ethos to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain a prominent visible presence throughout the school on a daily basis.
  • Actively contribute to upholding excellent standards of behaviour for learning.
  • Identify problems and barriers to school effectiveness, and develop strategies for school improvement that are realistic, timely and suited to the school’s context
  • Make sure these school improvement strategies are effectively implemented

We are a mixed 11-18 Academy with a comprehensive intake; the majority of whom live in the Pudsey Area. The proportion of students supported by the pupil premium is average as is the proportion of students supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs. We have strong links with the Pudsey Community and work in partnership with Priesthorpe School and Pudsey Grangefield at Post-16 level.
