What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Principal to oversee the quality of education at our school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and learning within an SEMH setting and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of educational provision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of education, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Support and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes.
• Develop and oversee curriculum design, assessment, and delivery.
• Foster a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support student learning.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in teaching and learning, preferably within an SEMH or SEN setting.
• Proven leadership skills and a track record of improving educational quality.
• Strong understanding of the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
