What skills and experience we're looking for

The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Deputy Principals, students and families, the wider SLT and the academy teams in sustaining a journey of excellence through continuous development and innovation. The Assistant Principal will be fully engaged with the SLT in leading Teaching & Learning, planning the curriculum and overseeing assessment. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference and change lives. The successful candidate will have a unique chance to lead on system design and will be the perfect platform for Headship in the future.

Specific responsibility will include supporting the Deputy Principals in professional duties: To assist in mutually agreed areas of school leadership and management, including Teaching and Learning, Attainment, Performance Management of Teaching staff and to fully deputise for the Deputy Principal in their absence.

Experience of working with pupils with SEN, ASD or SLD is desirable but not essential, what is important is you have the drive, creativity and a passion for teaching and learning to join our new team. A full CPD programme will be offered to include PECs, Team-Teach, Attention Autism and TEACCH.
