Tuxford Primary Academy is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our dynamic, talented and supportive team.

Why join Tuxford Primary Academy?

We are a primary academy for pupils aged 3-11 years based in Tuxford with over 250 pupils. In our latest Ofsted inspection (June 2024), we were rated ‘good’ with comments including ‘the school has a dedicated team of staff who are proud to work at the school’. The children told the inspector ‘Everyone is welcome at our school.’

Our academy has a caring and supportive staff team who believe in every child. The future for all children and families who attend Tuxford Primary Academy is bright, and we know that when we work together, we can ensure our children achieve their very best.

We collaborate within a wider team of primary and special academies sharing best practice and develop our expertise.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Go the extra mile to ensure the very best outcomes, experience and holistic care for our children

  • Live by our values of respect, care and empowerment

  • Believe that relationships are key – with our children, each other, our parents and carers, our colleagues within our Trust and beyond, and our community

  • Be highly motivated, be flexible, enjoy teamwork and embrace a challenge.

  • Be significant in the academy’s continued journey, in this predominantly non-teaching role.

  • Be inspired to work as part of the wider primary, special and trust team with a commitment to collaboration
