The Alpha Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal who will be based at the Excel Academy, with responsibility to support standards of Maths across the Alpha Academies Trust. This is a unique opportunity to impact on standards, not only within the Excel Academy, but to co-ordinate improvement across Trust academies. The role will be underpinned by a passion to take a key role in developing teaching and learning in the Excel Academy.
The successful candidate will be experienced and will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of raising standards in Mathematics for the last 3 years. The successful candidate must be an excellent practitioner, able to lead by example and inspire others.
This is an exceptional opportunity and will support the aim of the Trust to strengthen further its school improvement offer. The Excel Academy, where the role will be based, boasts some of the best educational standards in Stoke-on-Trent, with Mathematics achieving a Progress 8 above 0.4 for the past two years. The Academy boasts outstanding facilities and a state-of-the-art learning environment.
