About Beanfield Primary School and the Assistant Principal role
We are excited to be in the position to
recruit an inspirational Assistant Principal to take the role of Mainstream
SENCO within our large 3 form entry Primary school. The successful candidate
will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team and will liaise closely with the
Principal and Vice Principals, promoting achievement for all pupils in the
school.
Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and a strategic
leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.
The ideal candidate will also:

Hold, be
working towards or be willing to work towards the National Award for SENCO
Qualification.
·
Have a thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
·
Have the
ability to lead staff (both teaching staff and support staff) in developing
their knowledge and expertise in working with SEN children.
·
Have the
necessary communication skills to enable effective liaison with a variety of
external agencies.
·
Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills with
all members of the school community.
·
Have excellent classroom management skills and be proficient
in planning, assessment and target setting for pupils with a range of different abilities and needs
– SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL.
·
Contribute to the process
of writing the school self-evaluation and the school improvement plan.
·
Be dedicated to their own professional development.
·
Contribute to creating a
supportive ethos and a stimulating school environment.
