What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will contribute to the positive ethos of the school and will:
- Be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Have knowledge and understanding of the SEN Code of Practice
- Have experience of working with SEND pupils
- Have experience of working in an office or school environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with all key stakeholders
- Have strong and effective interpersonal skills
- Empathise with our students and be sympathetic to their needs

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, adaptable person to join our fantastic team as an Assistant SEN Co-ordinator.
In this key position, your primary duties will be:
- To act as a co-ordinator for therapies and SEN ensuring pupil’s therapeutic, pastoral and personal care needs are met.
- To support the designated teacher for Looked-after children and previously looked-after children
- To support the SENCo with administrative aspects of their role
- To line manage a group of Learning Support Assistants, including their induction and probationary periods
