What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Assistant SENCo at Carleton High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient administration for the SEN department, and supporting pupils as directed by the SENCo. They will work alongside the SENCo in establishing best practice for inclusion across the school, and develop a relationship with parents, the local authority and multi-agencies that positively supports SEN pupils and the role of the SENCo.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

  • has a passion for helping pupils thrive and meet their full potential.
  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
  • has experience of working in a similar specialist area.
