We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Assistant Senco in our 4-19 free school. This role is a permanent post. The general expectation of being an Assistant SENCO at Gildredge House is that you can work on a 1:1 basis and provide differentiated support for SEND students as well as ensuring the administrative processes and documentation for SEND students are well maintained, contacts made with appropriate external agencies, meetings set up, diarised and student records updated.

We received a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement (November 2018). The challenge is to sustain and embed this judgement and then to work on achieving an ‘Outstanding’ judgement at our next Ofsted.

As an Assistant Senco at Gildredge House you will be expected to have the flexibility and skills to work within our SEND department, which as an all through school runs through Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form phases providing appropriate support to the children and staff team in delivering the curriculum.

Starting Salary: £18,730.40 pa pro rata (£22,713.00 FTE) which equates to Grade 8 point 20 on the Support Staff Pay Scale for 2021-2022 (rising to £24,588.00 FTE which equates to Grade 8 point 22 on the Support Staff Pay Scale for 2021-2022). You would be required to work 43 weeks per year (includes 36.4 weeks of term-time plus 1 week of INSET plus 5.6 weeks’ paid holiday), and 35 hours per week.
