What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Grangehurst Primary School to appoint an Assistant SENCo. The successful candidate will support the needs of children with SEND and work with the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion by putting in place support to remove barriers to learning.

We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic and creative practitioner who has been teaching for a minimum of 3 years. A teacher who can model high expectations and is able to support colleagues in developing their practice; whilst ensuring all children regardless of their starting point gain from every activity they do and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate about ensuring that every child with a barrier to learning gets the best provision,
- Have a good understanding of effective SEND provision.
- Have the ability to make learning fun
- Be an enthusiastic and confident teacher, able to develop a can-do attitude in all aspects of the development of SEND provision
- Be determined to ensure that SEND provision recommendations are in place, consistent and of the highest standard.
- Be a great communicator and role model
- Be prepared to make a significant contribution to our school
