We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to assist the Site Manager in ensuring the school site is maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition as required and to undertake in such tasks as may be necessary for effective site management.  This will include site maintenance, waste disposal, caretaking, grounds services, security and line managing the cleaning team.  

 

Leaders look after staff. We are a collaborative team, ensuring staff receive high quality support, training and feedback so they can thrive in their role. Colleagues are encouraged to learn from one another and we ensure we regularly celebrate success. 

 

We are part of the Ark network of schools and work closely with Ark Dickens and Ark Charter to serve the children of Portsmouth. Our ideal candidate will:

·         Live within 20 minutes travelling time from the school site – this is essential for emergency out of hours response times

·         Have experience of caretaking or building maintenance

·         Have the ability to assist with management of the grounds, general maintenance, security, and the health & safety of a primary academy site

·         Have the desire and enthusiasm to provide a clean, secure facility.

 Hours:                     36 hours per week (52 weeks a year – 26 days holiday per year)

Work Patterns:       Worked on a rota over 6.30am to 7.15pm
