Assistant Site Manager job summary

We are looking to recruit a reliable, energetic, professional Assistant Site Manager to join our pro-active site team. The main purpose of the role will be to support our Facilities Manager to lead, manage and participate in a team responsible for the safety, suitability and availability of our school premises, facilities and building systems. This contributes to our school community working in a clean, safe and well-maintained secure environment.

Key responsibilities (please see attached job description for more information)

  • Supervise, direct and quality assure the work of the site team, and contractors
  • Liaise with a range of premises users and act as a point of contact for site and facility enquiries
  • Act as a key holder and attend emergency call out situations, using own vehicle to attend
  • To assist in maintaining the security of the site
  • Participate in meetings relating to the planning, management and operation of the school site
  • Support the administration of the school lettings
  • Maintain up to date records for school building systems e.g. heating, water, fire, CCTV, lighting
  • Porterage duties

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential

Working Pattern

  • This is a full time role (37 hour per week), working all year round, with annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to occasionally cover colleagues during busy periods, annual leave or periods of absence
