We have an exciting, unique opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious candidate to join our Humanities team as Assistant Curriculum Leader of Humanities with Geography or Religious Education Specialism. You will be an experienced qualified teacher with excellent subject knowledge. You will play a key role in assisting the Curriculum Leader of Humanities and providing valuable support as well as expert subject knowledge to the Humanities team. Your commitment to promoting a positive learning environment will benefit the wider curriculum team and ensure high standards of teaching are met at all times.

The opportunity

  • Provide valuable and professional support to the Curriculum Leader on the delivery of specific subject knowledge.

  • Assist performance management of subject teachers and provide professional development support where required.

  • Ensure all curriculum changes are communicated effectively.

  • Monitor and evaluate the progression of students and ensure they are appropriately taught and prepared for all external examinations.

The ideal candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status and good educational background.

  • Excellent classroom practitioner and ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with students and colleagues.

  • Experience of providing subject knowledge to students and teachers.

  • Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.
