Job description

We are seeking a committed professional to contribute to the leadership of our innovative Science department in a permanent capacity to begin in September 2020.

The key focus of this post is to take responsibility for the teaching of Physics across all key stages. These responsibilities should be exercised in such a way that all pupils, of whatever ability level can make progress in Physics and achieve significantly higher then national average value-added.

The post holder will also support the Subject Leader generally across the whole department.

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

Recent experience in an 11-18 or 11-16 school.
Evidence of continuous professional development of skills, knowledge and capabilities relating to the teaching of Physics to Advanced level.
Proven ability to innovate, take risks, initiate change and sustain development.
Clarity of purpose and student-centred vision.
Good oral and written communication.
Confident about using data systematically and, when appropriate, confidentially.
