Associate Assistant Headteacher job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Assistant Headteacher at Arthur Terry School, with responsibility for:
• Strategic leadership of SEND provision and strategy across the school in liaison with the SENDCO
• Leadership Group link for SEND and SENDCO
• Strategic lead for DA strategy
• Strategic lead for Transition Programme from Y6 to Y7 including Summer School
• Strategic lead for Nurture Group provision (curriculum and pastoral care)
• Educational Visit Coordinator (EVC) inc. DofE
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and outstanding practitioner who can work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership teams to support strategically in the leadership and management of the school.

We want someone who is imaginative, creative and confident; a talented leader with excellent leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend Leadership Group meetings as well as fulfilling Leadership Group roles and responsibilities including the Leadership Group duty rota. You will have a teaching allocation of no greater than 25 periods over a fortnight.

Arthur Terry was one of the first Teaching Schools in the country, is a National Support School, and offers an exciting school-based teacher training route through the Arthur Terry SCITT. The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 5 secondary schools, 11 primary schools, a Teaching School, and School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider.
