About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the spiritual and moral growth of young minds? Do you possess the vision and expertise to lead religious education across all age groups? If so, we have a thrilling opportunity for you! We're seeking an experienced Associate Assistant Principal Leader of Religious Education for our prestigious school catering to pupils aged 3 to 16.

As the Leader of Religious Education you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of religious and ethical values within our school. Your expertise and leadership will guide the curriculum, ensuring it reflects the richness and diversity of various religious traditions while promoting tolerance and respect for different beliefs. You will be responsible for shaping the PRE department, providing guidance to a team of teachers, and collaborating with other departments to integrate PRE across the curriculum in the primary phase.

What will you do?

  • Take part in senior management responsibilities such as supervision, planning, and policy development.

  • Provide effective leadership, manage resources, and ensure compliance with regulations to support school improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in relevant subject or allied subject
  • The ability to lead, model and manage positive behaviour, good order and assertive discipline in the school
  • How to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum
  • Relevant Religious Education / Philosophy, Religion and Ethics subject/area and/or curriculum expertise
  • How to lead curriculum development and manage innovation and change
  • Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
