What skills and experience we're looking for
Required as soon as possible, the Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic voluntary Academy seek to appoint an Attendance & Education Welfare Officer. Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher, the postholder will be responsible for implementing and managing the school’s attendance strategy and improving student attendance and punctuality. The postholder will work alongside key school staff and with students and their families, to promote outstanding attendance and reduce levels of absence including persistent absenteeism. The postholder will also provide specific support in relation to attendance for all year groups and will ensure that all aspects of the school’s Attendance Policy are administered in a way that meets the aim and objectives of the school. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills; previous experience of working in the education sector would be advantageous.
