What skills and experience we're looking for

Meopham Community Academy is seeking a proactive, empathetic, and highly organised Attendance & Inclusion Officer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting high levels of student attendance and punctuality, identifying barriers to engagement, and implementing effective strategies and interventions to ensure all students can access their education and achieve their full potential.

The hours will be 8am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is based on the Kent pay scheme KSC, £25,252 full-time equivalent, the actual pro rata salary will be £18,839.14 based on 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, term time only.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has recent experience of working with young people or families
  • has high expectations and is passionate about supporting children and families, directly impacting children’s mental health and wellbeing
  • has the ability to deal with sensitive and difficult situations with a solution focused approach
  • has excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills with a flexible attitude
  • is able to contribute to, and work as part of a team
  • has effective time management and an ability to work on own initiative

Meopham Community Academy is a two form entry primary school set in the village of Meopham, in Kent.
