What skills and experience we're looking for
We want to be the best school in Staffordshire with the ability to inspire and motivate teachers, students and the wider community through the Catholic Social Teachings.
We are looking to appoint a dedicated professional who is ready to play a crucial role in our school community, focusing on the well-being and educational engagement of our students. An attendance leader with a passion for nurturing a positive learning environment and safeguarding the welfare of students. This role will require the successful candidate to be the school’s Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
Candidates should have:
- proven experience in education, counselling or a related role.
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with compassion, empathy and a genuine commitment to supporting students.
- the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and other external agencies to reduce persistent absence, improve social/ educational inclusion and behaviour.
- an understanding of local education policies and regulations.
This post is full time (37hpw), term-time plus inset and two additional weeks (actual salary £28,625)
