Working pattern

Full time, term time: Hours of work – 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays. Term time working plus 10 additional days to be worked during holiday periods. Personal holidays cannot be taken during term time.

Between £24294 - £25979 (pro-rata £21496.91 - £22987.90)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and suitably experienced Attendance Officer to join our School.

The role will involve improving whole school attendance outcomes and reducing persistent absenteeism by working with pupils, parents/carers and external agencies to improve attendance and punctuality across the school. You will support pupils and their parents/carers with interventions to improve attendance and punctuality such as establishing routines, as well as signposting to other local services (e.g. welfare and external agencies).

This role is term time plus 10 additional days (40 weeks per year in total).

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with pupils and parents to improve attendance.
  • Have excellent communication skills to establish effective working relationships with headteachers, external agencies etc.
  • Be able to maintain manual and electronic records accurately.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, appropriate Level 3 qualifications and an ability to remain calm under pressure
