Attendance Officer job summary
We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual who is committed to helping our pupils succeed. You will work with the Headteachers and other school staff, parents, pupils and outside agencies to ensure the positive attendance of pupils across the Trust, under the instruction of the Head of Pastoral and Behaviour. You will be able to maintain attendance data on the school system in an accurate and timely basis, discuss with parents/carers reasons for their child’s absence and work to improve attendance. You will be able to communicate effectively with parents/carers using telephone, emails or letters.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced D.B.S. and full pre-employment checks. This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
