Attendance Officer job summary

Hednesford Valley High is seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a school environment and have an understanding of the issues that may affect a student’s ability to attend school. You will work alongside members of the Senior Leadership Team and the Educational Welfare Officer. The role will involve monitoring student attendance, contacting parents/carers re. nonattendance, producing attendance letters, charts and reports and may involve home-visits.

The role is primarily dealing with student attendance; however, a proportion of the contracted hours will also be spent supporting the administration of the school office which will include Reception cover and data inputting.

Students in Year 7-11 are based at the Hednesford Valley High, Stanley Road Site, and students in Years 12-14 are based in E block at Cannock Chase High.
