We are looking to appoint an Attendance Officer to support student attendance, including tracking and monitoring attendance, tracking and presenting key attendance data to key stakeholders at the Academy.

  • The successful candidate will work with families to promote parental engagement, organise and support parental and family support and lead on other attendance and wellbeing initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of working in an educational setting or within a similar/relevant position to provide appropriate advice and support to pupils, families and staff'.
  • To provide information, advice and guidance to parents / carers on matters relating to school attendance in order to provide a ‘first day response’ to attendance issues.
  • Undertake home visits as required.
  • To liaise with school staff, specifically the Vice Principal. form tutors and administration staff relating to the information received, and with other agencies as appropriate on matters relating to attendance.
  • Experience of writing and maintaining accurate records .
