The successful candidate will provide an attendance officer service for school, children and families. Working in conjunction with outside agencies, senior leaders and the pastoral team to ensure that children receive education that is appropriate to their needs by regular attendance at school or otherwise.
They will work within the school’s policies and procedures, as well as following Safeguarding legislation to monitor, track, investigate and follow up absence from school and, where necessary, exploring statutory duties of legal action. The successful candidate will have knowledge of DfE policies, safeguarding procedures and the CAF. They will also have experience of working in a Multi Agency approach.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer:
- a working environment where all feel valued and respected.
- a supportive and forward thinking Senior Leadership Team and Academy Council.
- welcoming colleagues with a clear vision and high aspirations for the school.
- a commitment to your induction, professional development and opportunities to work with other colleagues across the BKCAT.
- an excellent pension scheme.
- a commitment to your wellbeing.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust is committed to ensuring children are supported and safe. We are dedicated to the safeguarding of all children whilst promoting their welfare and expect all staff and volunteers to share this responsibility. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS with barred list check and other appropriate checks. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance (2024), online searches will be carried out on shortlisted candidates and shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a form for self-disclosure of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.
