Audio/Visual ICT Technician job summary
We are looking to appoint an Audio/Visual ICT Technician to join our dedicated and driven ICT Technical Team from 1st September 2024. This is a unique role where you will have responsibility for the maintenance of the school’s AV equipment and running the sound and lighting systems for productions and other events. You will work closely with teachers and suppliers and also offer guidance to students who participate in the technical side of these productions. You will also assist the ICT Technician with general maintenance as and when required.
One of the areas that you will support is our Drama Department who will rely on your expertise in lighting and tech to ensure the smooth running and effectiveness of their exams and shows. Ideally we would welcome applicants who have prior experience of providing sound and lighting support or someone with a passion who wishes to pursue this further.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible on their hours of work subject to the needs of the role. At different points in the academic year depending on the school’s event schedule, there is a heavier workload and we would require hours to be flexed which may involve an earlier or later start time and occasional evening and weekend working.
If you would like to discuss the job role further, please do not hesitate to contact Dave Aldridge, Network Manager or Linda Marsh, HR Manager either at the school on 01394 385720 or via email: daldridge@farlingaye.suffolk.sch.uk or hr@farlingaye.suffolk.sch.uk
Closing Date: 9.00 am Tuesday, 18th June
Interview Date: Tuesday, 25th June
