Launching in September 2026, our brand-new Autism Resource Provision (ARP) will support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
While this is a specialised provision, you will not be working in isolation. At Fortismere, inclusion is a whole-school commitment, you will be backed by a supportive leadership team, the ARP Lead, and a collaborative staff community dedicated to making this new provision a success.
The Role
As our ARP HLTA, you will help students overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Targeted Interventions: Plan and lead high-quality small group and individual learning sessions.
- Collaborate with Mainstream Staff: Work alongside teaching staff to ensure classroom strategies are appropriately adapted and accessible.
- Track & Monitor Progress: Support the tracking of student progress and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of outcomes within the ARP.
- Build Relationships: Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner with students, parents, and external agencies.
About You
We are looking for someone with a determined attitude who puts students at the heart of everything they do. You will have the ability to:
- Use your own initiative, think on your feet, and be highly adaptable.
- Work flexibly, adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic new environment.
- Organise, plan, and confidently deliver small group teaching.
- Work sensitively and professionally with some of our most vulnerable young people.

- Happy, confident children who enjoy being at school.
- Excellent benefits: Pension, Cycle Scheme, Tech Scheme, Season Ticket Loan, and an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
- A highly committed Governing Body and experienced leadership team.
Fortismere School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
