What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AV Technician to join our team. In this role you will ensure our AV services run smoothly across the Trust by setting up and maintaining all the audio-visual gear. You'll help out with events, assemblies, community activities, and teaching by setting up, operating, recording, editing, and processing media. You'll also get to work on new tech areas, install or remove hardware/software, fix any issues, and keep everything documented. Plus, you'll implement systems to keep data current and secure, promote AV policies, and support contingency plans. You'll offer basic AV training to staff and students, keep data collection and storage secure, and regularly check systems, prepare reports, and solve technical issues or pass them on if needed.
The core hours of the role are 8:30am to 4:30pm (with a 4pm finish on a Friday) – however there will be an expectation to work outside of core hours to support scheduled events, and maintenance of equipment – advance notice would be given, alongside time off in lieu or overtime – subject to agreement with your line manager.
Your Experience and Skills:
We're looking for someone with solid experience in AV technology and support, who knows their way around maintaining and operating AV equipment. You should be super organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and projects. We're all about providing top-notch service and support, so a commitment to quality is key. You'll need to be able to work both independently and as part of our team. Strong communication skills are a must, as you'll be training and supporting staff and students. Plus, you should be comfortable with AV software, hardware, general IT skills and working at height. We’re also looking for someone who is excited to learn how to use new pieces of equipment and technology.
