Before and After School Club Assistant job summary

We are looking for a friendly part-time Before and After School Club Assistant to support and supervise our pupils at the start and end of the school day in our "FLAG Club"

The hours are:

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 8.45am (term time only)

and Monday to Thursday 3.30pm to 4.30pm (term time only)

with the opportunity for additional hours on occasion to cover for absence, and potentially an increase in hours in the future.

We will consider a permanent or casual contract, or a job share depending on the applicants.

The closing date for applications is 28th September,  or earlier if a suitable candidate is appointed.


This would be the ideal opportunity for someone considering a career in childcare or in a school setting.

Candidates will need to:

-Ideally have some experience or knowledge of working with children although full training will be given

-Be able to communicate well and build relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents, and be an excellent team player

-Be enthusiastic, imaginative and able to contribute ideas for the planning and delivery of activities

-Have patience and calmness, and be proactive in dealing with any challenges 

-Be willing to undertake any training deemed necessary in a timely manner
