Start date: September 2022
Hours of work: 7.30am–8.30am and 3.00pm–6.00pm, term time only
Closing date: 10th June 12.00 noon

Rush Common School is a vibrant school with a well established and thriving Before and After School Club facility which we would like to expand due to high demand.
We have a vacancy for a Playworker, working with the team to provide safe, high quality play and care for young children, meeting their individual needs.
We are looking for candidates with:
• Previous experience of working with young children, or a relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of safeguarding/child protection procedures is an advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• An understanding of play based approaches to children’s learning and development.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is an advantage.
• Holder of a first aid qualification an advantage.
This is a term time only post; 7.30am – 8.30am and 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Rush Common is a friendly and popular two-form entry Primary School with a capacity of 420 pupils aged between 4 and 11. The school is split into three phases: Early Years Foundation Stage; KS1 Years 1 and 2; and Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6). Rush Common School converted to an Academy in March 2012 and is part of the Abingdon Learning Trust. The school was awarded a Good Ofsted grading in November 2021.
