What the school offers its staff
Our Multi Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in North Yorkshire, Hull and South Yorkshire whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress through the development of outstanding staff.
The Venn Academy Trust was formed in 2015 as a small but perfectly formed organisation of 4 schools across Yorkshire and the Humber region, with others interested in joining. Venn comprises of both special, alternative provision and mainstream academies, including a hybrid/alternative provision free school. Brompton Hall joined our family in 2023. We have a strong track record of developing and improving schools; underpinned by effective central systems and school improvement strategies that lead to developing confident pupils who work hard, enjoy school and achieve significant positive outcomes.
Brompton Hall School is a special school, nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, in the charming village of Brompton-by-Sawdon. The village is known as ‘the birthplace of aviation’ through Sir George Cayley (1773-1857). Cayley invented a successful glider and in 1853 he was the first recorded person to fly a short distance with his coachman over Brompton Dale. Brompton Hall is a beautiful listed building containing its own museum! All pupils at Brompton Hall have an EHCP and we strive to create a positive and nurturing environment where children can thrive, show mutual respect and learn to manage and express their emotions effectively. The school aims to provide a safe space where children feel a sense of belonging , allowing them to grow into confident and responsible individuals, with a keen sense of worth and self respect. We have a shared vision focused on the use of positive behaviour management which enable children and young people to develop the strategies and self-regulation skills to effectively manage their own behaviour.
