Behaviour for Learning Officer job summary
We are looking for a Behaviour for Learning Officer to support the work of our Behaviour for Learning Team. At Kingsbury High School we believe that every child has the right to an education and we do all we can to ensure that students are equipped to achieve in school. The role involves supervising students in the Behaviour for Learning spaces ensuring that students referred to the space are engaged in their learning. You would also be responsible for supporting staff by removing students who need a reset and helping them to take responsibility, reflect and return to their mainstream lessons.
The role also involves supporting students who are withdrawn from the curriculum to access the appropriate work and make progress. You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver practical sessions and 1-2-1 mentoring to ensure students are able to regulate their behaviour and be reintegrated into mainstream lessons.
You will have the opportunity to make a real change in the lives of young people. Your role is integral to ensuring all students are able to develop a love of learning, intellectual curiosity and have the skills and qualities needed to become successful, happy and engaged members of society.
