Pay scale: H4 (SCP 6-9) £25,183 - £26,409 paid pro rata for hours and weeks worked
Hours: 9.00am until 2.30pm 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Weeks: 38 weeks term time only 0.621566 FTE
Actual salary: £15,652.89 - £16,414.93 (includes holiday entitlement)
Ridgeway Academy is part of the Ambition Education Trust (AET). The Ambition Education Trust (AET) consists of ten schools in Hertfordshire; three primary, one nursery and infants’, one juniors and five secondary. We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our talented support staff team. The purpose of the Behaviour Improvement Assistant is to work as a member of the school’s pastoral team, alongside teaching staff and the Special Education Needs Department to ensure that every student achieves their potential through the provision of targeted support and intervention.
The role will involve providing pastoral support to students with challenging conduct and working within our pastoral team to support parents / carers of students with behavioural and attendance issues.
The Behaviour Improvement Assistant is an integral part of the Behaviour team. They will be a flexible and supportive member of staff who can assist Heads of Year and Pastoral Leaders in the effective daily management of the students, as well as providing a supportive framework for individual and group intervention as necessary. The nature of the role is such that flexibility and self-motivation are crucial to success.

Has successful recent working experience within a pastoral/behavior environment with children of relevant age
Has good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of people

Works hard, is enthusiastic and self-motivated
